So Dance Studios COVID-19 Policies and Protocols

So Dance Studios is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we have a safe plan in place to keep our students, faculty and community safe while dancing.

Prior to class attendance students and faculty will be required to complete the So Dance Studios Health Screening. The form can be accessed here by selecting the purple button or by scanning the barcode which is posted at the entrance to the studio. We require receipt of the questionnaire completion prior to entering the studio.

If you have any questions or concerns please email Melissa at dance.melso@gmail.com

What the Dance Season is going to look like!

  • Everyone entering the building will be required to sanitize their hands prior to entrance and wear a mask when distancing is not possible. We will provide the sanitizer.

  • Students will receive their own “box” where they will be asked to place their items, such as labeled water bottles and dance bags. We ask that students please arrive in their dancewear and only bring what they need for class.

  • Washrooms will be closed and open for emergency use only.

  • Entrances to the studio will take place at one end and exits at the other. Please ensure that you are waiting outside, and on time for your child at least 5 mins prior to their class end time.

  • Parents of Tiny Movers students will be allowed to attend classes with their child and will be required to wear a mask. Parents of Creative Movement, Kinder, Jr, Sr and Teen students will be required to drop off and pick up only. Waiting areas are closed.

  • Students will not be allowed to attend classes if they or anyone in their household is feeling unwell or experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms listed in our screening. If students are feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms they will have the option of attending their class remotely via ZOOM LIVE. Please let us know if your child will be absent or attending class remotely.

  • All scheduled classes will be live streamed. Registration options are available for either. Please indicate in the note section of your child’s registration form.

  • Class sizes will not exceed 10 students. We will be offering an additional 6 spots per class via Zoom Live. Families will have the option of registering their child for in studio lessons or Zoom Live lessons.

  • We will not collect any fees pertaining to costumes, recital and dance competitions until we are certain that we will be able to attend/host these events safely. We do hope to host a 2022 year-end recital.

  • Should the studio be forced to close classes we will continue online via Zoom Live. There will be no refunds should this occur.
